Relay for Life of North Shore a Success

We are very proud and excited how the day of "Relay for Life" turned out.  Extravagant Realty along with other businesses donated dinner for the "Survivor's Dinner" event.   We would like to "Thank" the following generous businesses.  Page One Restaurant in Glen Cove for the delicious buffet dinner donated.  Mama Lena's in Glen Head for the desserts.  Glen Cove Beverage in Glen Cove for the soda's and waters.  Extravagant Realty was happy to chip in with Page One Restaurant, set up, donate balloons and serve the Survivors.  We are looking forward to next year to do this again.

As of today, "RELAY FOR LIFE OF NORTH SHORE" raised $116,000. 

Let's do it again next year, and raise even more! A local business in Glen Head has already started.  Gem Craft Boutique has a "Pink Ribbon" Breast Cancer Awareness section in their store and 10% of sale proceeds will go toward "Team Knock out Cancer" for 2013.  Stop by and check out this display.

Ribbon Cutting - Grand Opening day a success!

Thank you for all who came out to weather the stormy rains on Monday, May 21st.  We were excited to see everyone that day and celebrate our "Grand Opening" with them.

Glen Head Glenwood Business Association Meeting - April 18

In March, Extravagant Realty joined the "Glen Head Glenwood Business Association" which has been in operation for about 40 years.  Every month they have a speaker that helps businesses and neighbors learn information on different topics.  This month Steven Swimmer from Renaissance Merchant Services spoke about Credit Card Freud and Identity Theft.  Mr. Swimmer told us how we can protect ourselves when it comes to scams through emails, phone and even as simple as not throwing out a prescription pill bottle with our detailed information left on the bottle. 

The Glen Head Glenwood Business Association meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Glenwood Landing American Legion Post 336, 190 Glen Head Rd., Glen Head, NY 11545.  There is a buffet at a nominal fee & open cash bar at the meetings.  All meetings are open to businesses and neighbors.   It is a good way to network and meet others and learn about the different topics that are offered each meeting.

Pleas note: Next month meeting is Wednesday, May 16th and Legislator, Delia Deriggi Whitton will be there to answer any questions regarding our local area.
